Qualifications and Responsibilities:

• Supervises Pharmacists to ensure accurate review and filling of prescriptions issued by physicians or other authorized providers/prescriber's and determine formulas and ingredients needed
• Directs pharmacy workers engaged in mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals
• Monitors performance of staff pharmacists including conducting interviews, performance reviews, and monitoring accuracy levels of work performed by pharmacists
• Participates in improvement of operational performance (IOP) activities, and seeks continuous improvement through efficiencies, cost cutting, staffing, cross training, etc.
• Instructs interns and other medical personnel on matters pertaining to pharmacy
• Compounds medications using standard formulas and processes such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients 
• Computer Skills-proficient with MS Office, email, CPR-Plus Design and Internet 
• Prior PIC experience preferred 
• Candidates must have the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, using the English language. 
• Graduate from an accredited School of Pharmacy with either a BS or Pharm D
• Current Pharmacist License in Alaska and in good standing.
• Must have clean background and good prior work history
